Support those who served

Voices That Remain

The General’s Daughter Initiative exists to ensure that military veterans have the opportunity to preserve their stories in their own voices—creating lasting digital keepsakes for their families. Inspired by founder Rachel Sanders’ experience discovering powerful video interviews of her father, a decorated general and advocate for veterans with PTSD, during his battle with cancer, the organization was created to honor the stories veterans often struggle to share in everyday conversation. These professionally produced video testimonies provide veterans with a safe, respectful space to reflect on their service while giving families deeper connection, understanding, and healing. By securing grant funding to cover all production costs, The General’s Daughter Initiative removes financial barriers and offers these services free of charge, ensuring that every veteran’s legacy can be preserved for generations to come.

Mission Statement:

The General’s Daughter’s Initiative exists to honor, uplift, and preserve the stories of military veterans by providing free, professionally produced video testimonials that capture their lived experiences, service, and legacy—creating lasting keepsakes for veterans and their families while ensuring their voices are never forgotten.

Vision Statement:

We envision a world where every veteran’s story is valued, preserved, and shared—where families have lifelong access to the voices, memories, and wisdom of their loved ones, and where storytelling serves as a bridge between generations, fostering healing, understanding, and respect for those who served.
