Rachel D. Sanders – Founder & Executive Director, The General’s Daughter’s Initiative

Rachel D. Sanders is the founder and Executive Director of The General’s Daughter’s Initiative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering military veterans and their families. Raised in a military family as the daughter of a decorated general, Rachel has a unique, firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by veterans. Her upbringing instilled in her a deep respect for their service and a passionate commitment to ensuring they receive the support and resources they deserve.

In addition to her nonprofit work, Rachel is an accomplished media and marketing professional with a background in developing impactful communication strategies for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. With years of experience in media relations, digital marketing, and brand development, Rachel has leveraged her expertise to amplify the mission of The General’s Daughter’s Initiative, raising awareness and generating support for veterans’ causes on a national scale.

Rachel’s vision for the organization is rooted in a deep desire to bridge the gap between veterans and the critical resources they need to thrive in post-service life. Under her leadership, the Initiative has expanded its reach, offering veterans access to essential services in healthcare, education, employment, and mental health.

Before founding The General’s Daughter’s Initiative, Rachel had a successful career in nonprofit management, communications, and advocacy. She holds a degree in Communications and Education, has completed specialized training in life coaching services, and regularly shares her expertise as a speaker on topics related to veteran care, nonprofit leadership, and community service.

Rachel’s unique blend of nonprofit experience, media expertise, and personal connection to the military community makes her a passionate and effective advocate for veterans, driving tangible change and ensuring they are never forgotten.
